Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) has officially ended its limited-time Dookey Dash event, “Toad Mode.” The event was designed to give players the chance to obtain a companion trait for their Power Source by playing the game.
BAYC announced that it will begin reviewing scores and share a notice once the review is complete on March 7th, 2023. After the review, a metadata update to Sewer Pass will reflect whether the companion trait was obtained.
The company also unveiled the DookeyDash’ Lick The Toad’ event for Sewer Passes with a N/A rank or 0 scores, so they can play Toad Mode and get a score greater than 0 to take part and become qualified for the Summoning. Sewer Passes ranked in Dookey Dash or Toad Mode will be qualified to summon a Power Source on March 8th, 2023.
BAYC founder Yuga Labs noted that the top 500 score runs from Toad Mode will receive a companion trait to their Power Source. 2000 additional companion traits will be awarded to the 2,000 players who collected the most Toad Points, without duplicating anyone who was top 500 overall.
However, even if a Sewer Pass has a top-high score for both the entire run and Toad Points, it can only hold one companion at a time. Therefore, after the Toad Mode results are determined, any passes marked “N/A” will not be permitted to participate in The Summoning.
The company also warned players against buying Sewer Passes on secondary before the final review is complete, as doing so risks buying a Sewer Pass that is later linked to cheating and has its Toad Mode ranking reset.
Dookey Dash has been a popular event among gamers, and the end of Toad Mode marks the end of an era. Players who have participated in the event will have to wait until March 7th to find out if they have been successful in obtaining a companion trait.
